EYELASH EXTENSIONS - FAQ

  • Classic, Volume, Hybrid & Whispy are different eyelash extension styles. Each style requires a different technique and will achieve a different look. Each style varies in volume and length and is tailored to each client.

If you’re not sure what the difference is, images of each type can be viewed here.

  • Classic eyelash extensions are natural-looking eyelash extensions. They are applied on a 1:1 ratio, which means one extension is attached to one natural lash to achieve a natural enhancement. Classic lashes are perfect if you are looking to add length to your natural lashes and want subtle definition.

  • Volume eyelash extensions are a perfect option for adding some length and volume. Also known as Russians, this technique is more advanced as it involves the process of fan making. These are then individually applied to one natural lash. These lashes are much thinner in weight, so more than 1 extension can be applied to 1 natural lash. This technique creates a full and fluffy look, with lots of volume!

  • Hybrid Lashes are a mixture of Classic lashes and Volume. This style of lashes is great if you’re looking for classic lashes to extend the length but also like the volume from the Volume style. This Hybrid technique offers a variety of texture and volume.

  • These are my signature style and one I have won awards for! These are still volume extensions using different lengths and thickness, I create a bespoke look just for you.

  • Eyelash extensions do not hurt, when they have been applied correctly. Each individual extension is placed one a time to one natural lash. The correct curls and lengths are selected and based on your natural lashes.

  • Eyelash extensions fall out for several different reasons, such as client aftercare, hormonal changes, natural shedding etc. Always follow the correct aftercare guidance to make the most out of your set.

  • Eyelash extensions do not damage your natural eyelashes when they are applied properly. To prevent damage to the natural lashes, lash extension length and thickness are carefully selected and applied correctly to one natural eyelash at the time.

  • Yes. Since each lash extension is attached to a single natural eyelash, they will fall out naturally. This is due to the natural growth cycle and an in-fill is recommended every 2-3 weeks.

  • Yes! Keeping lash extensions clean is key to long lasting retention and healthy natural lashes. Lash extensions should be washed daily using an eyelash extension shampoo and brush.

  • Eyelash extensions need to be removed by a trained professional using an eyelash extension remover. A correct and safe removal will mean there’s no damage to the natural lashes. You can book this via my Fresha page like any other treatment.

EYELASH LIFT & TINT - FAQ

  • A lash lift treatment is a perm to lift the lashes, increasing the appearance of length, thickness and curl. There are three main stages to a lash Lift – using a lash shield, adhesive and lotion are applied to the lashes to lift and curl them. The tint is then applied and then finally a nourishing agent is applied.

  • The results of a lash lift and tint can last 6–8 weeks, but this depends on your natural lash growth cycle.

  • A lash lift treatment costs little less than eyelash extensions and is a faster treatment. As results often last 6 weeks you do not need to return as often as you would for lash extension infills. It’s a great low-maintenance option for anyone, and are well worth trying at least once!

  • For the first 24 hours be careful while the new shape really gets locked in. Don't rub your eyes, try to avoid sleeping on your face, avoid getting them too wet and don't apply any mascara. After that 24 hours is up, still treat them gently and avoid oil based mascaras.

I recommend using a lash shampoo to keep them clean.

  • Not if they’re done right! Adhesive, lotion and nourishing agent are all applied carefully and in a particular order to protect the lashes.

  • Heat, swimming, and harsh cosmetic products can weaken the effects of a lash lift.

  • Yes, as lash lifts are really easy to maintain so as long as the lashes are kept nice and clean, there shouldn't be any problems. We recommend being gentle when you’re cleaning off any strip lash residue though as you don’t want to rub too hard on the lashes.

EYEBROW LAMINATION - FAQ

  • Brow lamination, also referred to as a brow perm or brow lift , is a popular procedure that involves gently shaping and setting the individual hairs of the eyebrows. This creates a fuller looking brow that highlights the facial features.

  • Brow lamination typically lasts for around six to eight weeks. But as that each hair is on its own growth cycle, it’s best to book in every 6 weeks to keep your brows looking flawless at all times. A Wax & tint can also be booked to upkeep shape and give a sleek lamination look after 4 weeks.

  • A brow lamination treatment varies in length, but takes around 30-50 minutes, depending on the thickness and complexity of your brows. Your total appointment time will depend on if you’re also adding a wax & tint to the treatment.

  • Try to you leave your brows unplucked as they are naturally so there’s more to work with. Then, it’s best if you can arrive without makeup or skincare products on your brow area. This helps reduce the time needed to cleanse the brows before the treatment.

  • I begin by cleansing your brows and brow area to ensure there is no makeup residue or leftover skincare products on the hairs before brushing the hairs into place.

Next I will brush some perming solution into the hairs to open up the bonds in the hairs. Depending on how thick your brow hairs are naturally, the time this takes can vary. I then remove the first solution from the brows before brushing on the second solution, which forms new bonds in the hairs and sets them in their new, neat shape. Once this is removed, a tint can then be applied to the hairs, the brows are then shaped using wax or tweezing. Finally a nourishing brow butter is applied to hydrate the hairs and skin.

  • Brow Lamination gives you a perfectly lifted brow for weeks, but it requires a little daily maintenance. You will need to brush the brows up every morning with a brow brush and avoid sleeping on your face. You can also use a brow gel to give the hairs that extra push upwards. It is also important keep your brows dry for the first 24 hours after the treatment do not use any eyebrow makeup. This is crucial for the effect to last as long as possible.

  • It is also important keep your brows dry for the first 24 hours after the treatment do not use any eyebrow makeup. This is crucial for the effect to last as long as possible.

  • It is important to leave the brows alone for the first 24 hours, giving the brows time to let the products of the treatment do their job. After these 24 hours, you can then apply make up if you wish to do so.

  • I recommend the treatment no more than once every 6 to 8 weeks to allow the eyebrow hairs to rest and not become weakened. I recommend applying hair conditioner to your brows regularly to keep the hairs nourished and soft.

  • If you make sure the hairs have enough time between treatments and don't repeat the treatment in less than 6 to 8 weeks, there is nothing to worry about. Brow Lamination is a chemical process, and I use carefully selected products that are as gentle as possible. I recommend applying hair conditioner to your brows regularly to keep the hairs nourished and soft.

  • A brow lamination is suitable for any client with medium to long length brow hairs that are unruly, stubborn or bent down slightly. Brow Lamination is not suitable for very thin or short eyebrow hairs. However, hairs that have a strong downward growth direction can be difficult to laminate. I will advise you if I believe this treatment isn’t suitable for your eyebrow hairs.

  • Yes, however due to changing hormones these may effect the results. I always recommend a new patch test to ensure you're safe during this procedure.
